The Individual Mandate section of the Affordable Care Act requires most adults and families to have health insurance by January 2014 or they will have to pay a penalty.

The Health Insurance Marketplace, also known as a Public Exchange, may save you money on the cost of your health insurance.   You may even qualify for premium subsidies to pay for your coverage.

The Health Insurance Marketplace opened to individuals on October 1, 2013.  There you can shop for competitively priced policies and possibly qualify for a tax credit by filling out just one application.
